As it’s been nearly three months since my last post, I wanted to share what I’ve been up to. And it’s not, as my family and friends know, that I’ve been rendered speechless!
I’ve been busy but never that busy!
But I have been busy establishing myself as a freelance writer for online content for smaller businesses. Those businesses who know they need to create incredible content, but don’t necessarily have the time or desire to do everything themselves. I’m focused, unsurprisingly, on businesses related to food and drink, and those in beauty and wellness.
I want to make sure that every business has the opportunity to tell its story, in a way that people want to read about. A way that makes people care about what they’re up to. Basically, how to turn strangers into fans and friends.
If you would like to know more, you can find my website over at www.helentarver.co.uk. I post a couple of times a week on the blog there as well, with hints on blogging for small businesses of any kind. You’ll also find me on Twitter at @HelenTWrites and the same on Instagram.
Plans for The Foodie Gift Hunter
I’ll be writing here at least once a month, to cover things to eat, cook, read, buy and visit in the month ahead. You’ll also find me over at Home to Nest as the guest culinary blogger. At the moment their beautiful artisanal selections aren’t available to ship to the UK but do watch that space too.
So, exciting times here, and I wanted to say thank you to those of you who’ve been in on the developments and for the support. For those who’ve been on the foodie gift hunt with me, then I also wanted to say thank you, and sorry for the radio silence. I promise to do better!
I’d love to know if there are particular things, people or occasions that you still find it difficult to shop for. I shall still be on a one-woman mission to ban the purchasing of vodka filled glass stilettos, giant peppercorn grinders and oils filled with random chillies and other things.
And I still won’t be buying Teapigs!
There are some things in life you can rely on!
