Lovely watching Jamie and Jimmy on Friday, great programme, great dishes. And lovely of them to get behind the Colwick cheese.
But sort of better late than never! If they’d been reading this blog, then I ran this story back in April (could name drop about have been buying good Red Pol from Alan for years). I am really pleased that the cheese, and the hours that Alan and Jane are putting into it, have had such great recognition.
Just one thing though, Jamie. Colwick, the village, is in Nottingham. Colwick, the cheese, is most definitely being made in Leicestershire though, unless someone moved the county line one night without telling me. But hey, why let a little thing like county boundaries get in the way of good TV!
And also lovely to see Jasmin from Homemade on there too, and to hear that they are using the cheese. That said, it will take a lot to divert me from Foxy’s Mega Fish Finger Sarnie. MGG and I always read the menu, but it’s a rare day when we don’t order that. But we may just give the burger with the Colwick cheese a go.
