Ok, Valentine’s Day is old, old news, Mother’s Day is pretty much a memory, which means it’s only a hop, skip and a jump to Easter. And the Easter bunny looks like she has some great things to choose from! I haven’t got seriously into my Easter research yet (running way behind at moment) but these would be amongst my starting points:
* Montezuma’s – still a soft spot for these guys, even though they are everywhere, but in a good way. I remember when they were just starting out, as based not far from where we were living at the time. Eggs looking great, and interesting executions of less wasteful packaging for Easter eggs.
* Melt - not cheap, but very tasty, often a treat as I dash through Selfridges. That said, they seem very short on Easter eggs, with just one product really. Still, not everyone wants an egg, and they are fabulous chocolates!
* Artisan du Chocolat – if you really pushed me, then I’d be stuck to make a decision between Montezuma’s and these guys as my favourites. Very different to each other, and I love how Artisan du Chocolat really push the flavour combinations. I love the Chocolate Scotch Egg though, be great to see a loved ones face when they opened this one!
* Chocolate Trading Co – great source for a huge variety of chocolate from many different producers and brands. If you wanted a one stop shop for Easter to cover every kind of budget and taste then I think this is a great starting point. Have to admit I love the hen’s eggs!
So, if I get no other chocolate shopping in for Easter, then I would hope that these four could sort me out for all the family. That, and finding a great Simnel cake as running a bit short on time to bake, though should try the Simnel loaf again!
