I realised that I hadn’t had a look at M&S for foodie gifts this Christmas yet, which I have done in the last two years. Last year I loved some of their tins, a cosy night in gift, and even knew the Come Dine With Me gifts would find a happy home with someone. Probably 2009 was my favourite year with all the nostalgic prints, and also for offering a great hamper of gluten free goodies, not something we see on the high street that often.
And this year?
Completely and utterly uninspired.
Maybe if you see them in the store they look a lot more exciting, but online very difficult to find something to get excited about. I was marginally excited about a Percy Pig collection, only to find out it was just 26 packets of the sweets.
Honestly, I think there are places doing food gifts to a much better standard this year than M&S. For heavens sakes, I even thought Morrisons had some good options. Lets face it, this is not just any boredom, this is M&S inspired boredom!
